Hey gang!
A client asked me to make a mascot for him. He has a small sized business of pepper-based products, like drinks, jellies, pastries, sauces etc. (and I asked him to give me at least some jellies and drinks together with the payment, LOL) So, he asked me to make a Pepper mascot. He also asked me to make the mascot with a traditional hat of the wilderness country area of my state. In older centuries, people here used to use these hats a lot, and he asked me to do a kinda mexican red pepper, but with these hats. Here are the layouts I prepared for him. I really worked fast on these, I did the pencils lines and worked on SAI. I think I spent about an hour on everything, from the roughs to the colors. I'm going to post the final piece in a few days, but please let me know what you think about these!!!
Ok, ok.

each of these peppers seem to have such character to them -- I can't decide which one is my favourite??!?!!! D:
you, too, must have had a hard time choosing...
But my favourite is number 5, unquestionably
hmmm, I think number 4 might be my second-fav. However, (in my opinion) number 3 is sporting the best hat out of all of them!
I had to work on a chile pepper mascot myself once, and these guys blow my attempts out of the water.
