It's the Moleskine paper. I usually work on the thicker one. But it does buckle when I paint on it, the thing is I don't wash the inks too much :)

Those eyes stare into the depths of my soul. It's awesome.
I assume the tunic/cloak was colored by that black pen? It looks too dark to be watercolor.

Yeah, I usually make lines with a Pentel brush pen or a Kuretake brush pen, then I fill in with ink & for this one, watercolors for the reds :)

Neat artwork! Man, those watercolors rock. This character reminds me of Jin-E Udou, but it's probably a coincidence :)

Oh! I didn't use him as a reference, but you're totally right! I didn't realize it until you told me, tough. I do know Jin-E Udou, he was one of my most beloved villains in Rurouni Kenshin!

I think this kind of head design will always remind Jin-E and Gambit (which, btw, was Nobuhiro Watsuki's reference to create Jin-E, as he said in an interview)!

Yeah, I was thinking the same, this guy resembles Jin-E who resembles Gabit, haha :XD:

Hahahaha, there's a lot of materials I don't even know how to start with. Water colors for example, I don't know how to mix them well and how to dose the right amount of water. This one was efficient because I'm attaching myself to a simple idea I'm following in any material: a mix of black ink, the white from the paper and 1-2 colors. I still need to learn a loooot of things, but I really appreciate your comment! :)

I know watercolor is difficult in to control because those reason but I know with more experiments and practice. You master watercolor if no problem
